J&V Eden ROSE- Art Column-
For this special collaboration, Juliette et Justine designed an exclusive textile,
while both brands—Juliette et Justine and Victorian maiden—created their own unique dresses. A collaboration brought to life through the passage of time.
Eden Rose—A Dress of Serendipity—
In search of herself, the girl left the Garden of Eden behind,
cultivated new lands, sowed many seeds, and nurtured blooming flowers.
After countless days and nights, she returned to Eden—today.
Awaiting the woman who was once that girl,
were roses in full bloom, layered and more fragrant than ever,
and primroses and passionflowers, smiling as if to say, “We’ve been waiting for you.”
And then—
Among them, forget-me-nots shyly glanced her way,
and the woman wept...
(After all, can one ever truly forget the past?)
She embraced her former self.
I love this dress—I've always loved it, and always will.
And I love the person I become when I wear it.
Lace, tulle, chiffon. The past and the present. All interwoven,
until now, within this dress, she herself becomes the radiant Eden Rose.
Designer’s Note
Twenty-six years ago, it was the place that first taught me the joy of creating clothing.
Victorian maiden was, for me, the beginning of a miracle—where dreams took form.
The sensitivity born from needle and thread that day still pulses within me.
I offer my deepest, quietest gratitude for this reunion.
May the past and future be stitched into this one garment,
and may this beautiful return become someone’s forever.
